Clinical Skills Event (CSE)

Clinical skills event focuses on helping pharmacy students to use your clinical knowledge to solve and to improve their patient’s drug therapy. As the world of pharmacy is constantly updating, keeping their clinical skills up-to-date are paramount. Getting involved in CSE is not only rewarding in terms of expanding the clinical knowledge and reviewing clinical guidelines, but also to see how others are doing in terms of updating their clinical skills and practice.

Getting involved in CSE is not only rewarding in terms Of expanding your clinical knowledge and reviewing clinical guidelines, but also to see how other Countries are doing in terms of updating their clinical skills and practice.

Rounds - Prelims and Finals. Teams shortlisted in Prelims will participate in Finals.
Dates - September 2nd - 3rd, 2017
Prelims:
Teams are formed in pairs or up to a group of four people. The team will receive a case, all instructions and access to digital library for references they need electronically or in hard copies. The competition duration is for 90min and during this time, the groups can search the internet, read references to solve the case. The solved case should be submitted at the end of 90min.

Finals:
The team will receive a case, all instructions and access to digital library for references they need electronically or in hard copies. The competition duration is for 90min and during this time, the groups can search the internet, read references to solve the case. The team can get the necessary information that is missing to solve the problem from the actor who plays a role according to the case (let’s say the doctor or the patient) present in the room. The teams had to write the chief recommendations and identify the drug related problems they had encountered with justifiable rational for it.
